Director’s Note

In classic Oscar Wilde fashion, this show opens a window and demonstrates the dangers of not communicating effectively. Full of gossip and assumptions from characters, this play showcases how quickly relationship dynamics can fall apart when confronted with unmet expectations. This is somehow still incredibly relevant today when you consider social media. Seeing things out of context, assuming you have all the information about something when you don’t, is all too prevalant in society. When deciding to direct this show, I really wanted to lean into the relationship dynamics, especially of the main characters. Having such a talented and willing group of actors has made my job easier than I could have hoped for and I think these actors have done a remarkable job throwing this surprisingly thought provoking show together. I hope you enjoy this show as much as I’ve come to enjoy it. The summer classic series 4th Wall does has always been one of my favorite aspects of this group, and I feel this cast and crew have helped make this summer’s show one of our strongest yet! So if you enjoyed it, please stick around and talk to the cast, feel free to have all the treats you want, and please let others know how enjoyable your experience was. Thank you all, and enjoy the show!

She wants to greatly thank everyone that supports our local arts in Indianapolis.

Nate got to act with them in Beauty and the Beast (Not your Parent Fairy Tale) as Phillipe, and has also been in The Taming of the Shrew as Grumio, King Lear as Edgar, and Rumors as Officer Welch. Offstage, Nate is a first grade teacher who loves writing, baking, Dungeons and Dragons, and paddle-boarding. He would like to thank the cast a crew for all their hard work and fond memories, his wife Lindsey for her love and support and his son Noah for having to listen to him practice his lines.

Amanda Horcher is a graduate of Indiana University and the University of Michigan who works at the Indianapolis Marion County Public Library. He is excited for the amazing opportunity to get into live theater! He hopes you enjoy the show, thank you for coming!

Isabel is proud to be a part of her third 4th Wall Production. Previously she was in a Wuthering Heights as Francine and a truand in Grotesque of Notre Dame.

Hi! I'm Amanda, and I'm excited to be making my debut with 4th Wall Players in Lady Windermere's Fan. I've been involved in theater and vocal performance for over a decade through stage productions, choir programs, and a short film. Music and performing have been a huge part of my life, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to work with some amazing people. When I'm not performing, I enjoy creating art, spending time with friends and family, and making memories with the people I care about.

Fred Margison (Parker) This is my introduction into 4th Wall Players. It's a new chapter in a long theatre story for me which started in 1987. I have enjoyed working with this young hardworking talented group of pronouns. So I hope you will sit back and enjoy their talents. Thank you!

Tyler Gibson (Robert) If anyone was ever born to be in a 4th Wall production, it would be Tyler Gibson. Though young in age, he has compiled an extensive resume, not only appearing with 4th Wall (William in Frankenstein, Kid 2 in Firebringer and Truand in The Grotesque of Notre Dame) but has also taken 5 years of Page and Stage youth camp and performed as Avery and Old Sheep in Charlotte’s Web for them and worked with Epilogue Players as Si Crowell  in Our Town.  He hopes you enjoy the show!
