4th Wall, in partnership with The Backlot Makerspace and Venue, are excited to announce our second annual playwriting competition!

This year's contest theme is Indiana Ghost stories! It can be based on existing lore or completely original, as long as it happens in the Hoosier state.

The script you submit should be somewhere between twenty and forty minutes (if it's 19 or 41 minutes long, it won't necessarily hurt your chances), and needs to be submitted no later than Friday, July 31st by midnight.

Please send your submissions to the email address: hoosierghoststories26@gmail.com. All identifying information will be separated from the scripts and the "clean" versions of the scripts will be sent to the judges panel so they can select the top three scripts.

There will be a live staged reading of the top three scripts at Backlot on Saturday, August 8th, where the audience will vote on the final winner! The winning script will be produced and performed by 4th Wall at Backlot after the Irvington Halloween Festival.
